LINDRUMA Pure Fluke
Professor Gerry Turcotte supervised Janne’s honours thesis, LINDRUM: The Uncrowned King, in 2008.
Janne fell into Professor Turcotte’s creative writing class by pure fluke — a glitch in the timetable. She had never intended to study creative writing. Professor Turcotte asked the class to write a paragraph about something, and Janne wrote about her father.
After the class, Professor Turcotte said to Janne:
If there is anything you do in your life, write that story.
